  • Visibility

    The Descartes solution improves logistics efficiency by providing organisations and their supply chain partners with a single integrated view of shipments, inventory, cross border compliance status and delivery performance.

    Providing shipment visibility and easily connecting carriers, logistics services providers, trading partners and regulatory agencies that make up your supply chain.

    For manufacturers, retailers and distributors a comprehensive view of purchased orders through to warehouse receipt during the delivery process provides visibility across the delivery channel.

    Logistics services providers can provide value-added visibility services to their customers in virtually segregated environments. The solution continuously gauges material movement against shipment milestones and helps monitor at-risk or critical orders.

  • Tracking

    Once a carrier has accepted a load, the associated Bill of Lading (BOL) is available with visibility of tracking updates. This contains, the time, location, and any comments associated with events, these are all part of the data collected and presented on tracking updates.  

    Status updates can be received against a specific BOL or Progressive (PRO) number via EDI messages alternatively the carrier can be provided with a login that allows them to update individual shipment statuses via a web form.

  • Performance

    The Descartes solution enables an analysis of performance trends v. service level commitments over time, rates carriers and suppliers based on lead-time, fill rate, or on-time rates, and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) for various users such as buyers, sellers, carriers, or forwarders.
